Co-designing a purposeful retreat. 

"How might we fund systems change better?" This was the starting point for a retreat convened by SiX (Social Innovation Exchange) and SiG (Social Innovation Generation) on the beautiful island of Wasan near Toronto in September. 

We helped to design and facilitate the 5 day retreat which was designed to support pioneering funders of systems change to learn more about what's working and build deeply connected community. 

We explored: 

• What is systems change? 

• Shared stories from the field 

• Shared pain points for practitioners and funders 

• Looked at the current state of the field of systems change

• And finished with collective model building around what we could create together
